My name is Fran. I am 20 and from England.
I got diagnosed when I was 5, and never really thought much of it until I was about 17. Then I realised how much it had affected my childhood, especially socially.
I like computers and gaming.
I want to start learning how to drive soon, but I am worried about driving a manual car. Hopefully I can drive an automatic.
I am not good around new people, but once I get to know someone I am chatty.

Re: Hello
Hi Fran and welcome to the forums
Good luck with learning to drive - I haven't managed more than a few lessons - might try again in the future though!

Re: Hello
Alot of people seem to have been diagnosed later in life, I was always told it was something you were born with. My grandma has it, and my mother has it too.
I think you should learn to drive again, because if my mother can drive. ANYONE can drive. Or so my family says to me lol!
Thanks for the welcomes.

Hi Maau
Just to clarify while you can be diagnoised with it later developmental dyspraxia is the one you are born with and most peopel have its just we late comers get diagnoised later on
.
Another form of dyspraxia can also occur due to head trauma that brings on mild brain damage
