getting re- assesed

Post by Dannea »

hi all, has anyone had any issues getting re-asseesed?
when i was a child i was assesed for a few different things and diagnosed with, including others Dyspraxia, however my last diagnosis was over 10 years ago and i have had troble getting re-assesed. i am currently in university and attempted to get help through my uni, however for some reason they got me a dyslexia exam, which as i stated to the people helping me, i didnt believe i had and after the examination, they came back as saying i didnt.
does anyone have any advice to get a reassesment?

I'd make a formal complaint as they really should be more accommodating and aware of this.

Sometimes organisations/people who assess for dyslexia can assess for dyspraxia too and this requirement should have specifically have been made known when they were booked to do your assessment.

The University should really have the contacts and knowledge to support people.
