I am 53. I am expert at falling safely and almost unnoticeably. I always carve the page when I write and my handwriting and drawing would shame a 9 year old. I cannot keep a beat. Catching and throwing have not improved much since I was five. I can't even find my nose when my eyes are shut and sometimes miss my mouth with my eyes open.. I go dizzy when standing or kneeling up. Directions in the car are my way or your way not left or right. When I first learnt to drive it was several lessons before the instructor would let go of the steering wheel as I was unpredictable in which way I turned it...... hours of practice but eventually I learnt. I found out I was dyslexic when I was 40 and they thought I was also dyspraxic. I am either super organised or in total chaos at work and home. Pain and stress and knotted muscles add to the mix. I can't hear what is said in a social situation as I hear lots of bits of people's words all mixedup and can't keep one voice separate. Both work and home have been major struggles at times and I own the title "misunderstood". I am fairly ambidextrous left hand ed right footed and have the wrong dominant eye for my hand. I am imaginative inventive and off the map at times. Once I realised I would never be a beauty queen or a ballet dancer I settled down to enjoy the fun of being me. Frustrating exasperating amusing and amazing to myself and others ... I am me. I think the perfectly non dyslexic non dyspraxic etc etc nothing different about them personu actually doesn't exist and they would be very boring. . And I am so fed upof editing this blooming thing that will do.

Hello,
I have many of the quaint odderties that you have. Left and Right? Yeah, right. Forget it. Its always my way or your way or point, so much easier don't you think. Being a dancer this could be interesting at times but hey, it was more fun for those around me! Kept them on their toes. ha, ha.
i was diagnosed at 50 and until then plodded through life bumping into things and generally making a mess of things. Still do. Its kind of good to understand why I'm like I am and I wonder how much different life would have been had I been diagnosed at an earlier stage. But hey ho.
I love crafting and making things but all my things look like a 5 year old has made them. It gives others a laugh but I just want to make something that looks grown up and professional. That's never going to happen!
Hey we are unique and that's pretty cool. Nice to have you in the forum.

Thank you for replying. I was waiting for my phone to say I had a message. Actually felt pretty lousy ..even a social reject on a site for dyspraxic people. Clever me.
