Dyspraxic Blog- My journey to studying a PhD

Post by Euphena »

I wanted to start a blog for a long while now, as I wanted to chart my journey from beginning to end, as I said in previous posts that I wanted to gain my PhD after being so let down by my previous University, because I have this disability. I feel doing this will be very cathartic and therapeutic.

I intend to start the blog on the 1st January 2013, charting my journey about how I feel about being Dyspraxic and how I will attempt to deal with my learning difficulties as a dyspraxic studying for a higher degree. I will be honest about my feelings, as well as sharing all the highs and lows of my journey.

I will post the name of the name of the blog tomorrow I hope you can join and follow me on my journey

Good luck with both the PhD and blog... would be grateful if you'd put the name of the blog up as I'd be interested to read it!

From experience I can tell you that in addition to the stresses and strains of studying with dyspraxia, a PhD comes with heaps of its own bizarre stresses, strains and pecularities. I recommend you get yourself a copy of 'Piled Higher and Deeper' (if you happen to be in the north east you can borrow mine) a comic strip that sums these up perfectly, and will reassure you on your journey that your not the first person to feel the way you do when these things inevitably come up!
