Lol Ruth! I used to get horribly affected by SAD as a teen, don't really suffer as much these days. I wasn't very happy as a teen and I am now so maybe I never really had SAD at all! But I do feel happier when I'm walkin somewhere n it's a bright day, then I do in the winter when it's dark.

Yeah, oddly, my mood seems to take a complete nosedive when it's overcast. Temperature doesn't bother me so much, in fact I hate it being hot.

Today is great, blue sky but freezing cold. :D

I go in to hibernation over winter, I can never get up when its dark! I do much prefer winter though cause I really dislike hot weather and bright light so its not s.a.d that I get. I do sleep much more in winter, and get every virus that goes round.

I always thought that sad stood for "seasonal affective disorder" looks like we're talking about the same thing though, guess my memory fails again.

I'm an absolute no vote. The winter months are my favoriate months. Cold I can stand, heat stops me from doing anything. I hate the summer. I think my genetics are designed for a cave in Scottland somewhere :P

ah as I thought no...

Greg I think of it as seasonal whoosywhatsit so yuo may well be right. I used to call it Autumnitis and figured out by my late teens that I'm not quite right in the Autumn ( even more than usual) My rule was and is 'don't make any life changing decisions in the Autumn'. I heard of sad about 10 years ago now and went aaah so that's what it is.

New job and this sure is making life fun :-s

Yes! Seems to have got worse over the last couple of years! Interesting to think there may be a Dyspraxia connection. I am increasing astounded by how many thinggs which bother me turn out to be connected to Dyspraxia in some way.

i think its affects me, i notice that after the clocks change my mood goes down, and then in the spring i feel better.

I think sunshine can perk us up although I agree with Greg's earlier comment that I'd rather be somewhere cool than somewhere hot.

At present I'm not sure if it's the sunlight that's been affecting me as much as the fact that it's been raining for almost 3 days straight combined with howling gales. I almost feel housebound.

I am a sort of spring /autum person, I like the spring for the temperature, and the autum for the extra hour or 3 in bed!!

I don't think I have S. A.D, but I do get perkier when it's sunny.
