Cost of assessment

Hello there

I'd like to get an assessment for dyspraxia but the two quotes I've had back have been for around £500 which I won't be able to afford until next year. Is this a normal price of a private assessment? I've tried talking to a couple of doctors about it and they've been very dismissive so I feel private is the only route.
