Yes, Trains, Ferries, Buses, etc, standing on these while they are moving for extended periods of time can be problematic. Unfortunately the only solution I can offer is the obvious one of "hold on to something!"

How about loosing your balance just standing still?
I do it all the time: I'll sort of stagger sideways while I regain my balance, and mutter something like "oh! lost my balance..."

I often feel I'm veering to the side when I walk. I'm not sure if I actually am or just think I am. I also go through phases of clumsiness where I just keep bumping into things - it seems like I'm staggering about all over the place. It's really frustrating!

Anyone else absolutely detest roller coasters? The constant changing of direction shakes me up so much I feel out of sorts for quite a while after I am back on flat ground.
Another thing. When you lose balance do your muscles sort of simply let go so you collapse, normally without injuring yourself? Mine do and I have always thought it was a fantastic self protection mechanism in my body.
