Me and my ex girlfriend

Post by kyknight97 »

So my ex girlfriend broke up with me 3 weeks ago we actually broke up in april but we still loved each other and was taking it slow,On a friday we spent a lovely day together and she told me that she is going out to the pub so that's good,I asked her how her night was and this is where it got all emotional and stressed out for us both so some random person at the bar wanted to hook up my ex with someone else,My ex said no and so did the other person but it still hurt because i still love her even though we are not together,I tend to get emotional and sad rather quickly because of my dyspraxia and my ex has autism and its hard because i don't think she fully understood my emotions even though it's hard for her.So i'm asking is there anyway i can control my emotions better like i don't know go for a walk or something. Please i need help and it really has affected my relationship so i would really appreciate it

It's normal to feel like this especially so as you have feelings for this girl. The fact she rebuffed attempts to set her up with this guy could be considered good news as she clearly isn't looking to find a new partner just yet.

Without knowing you or her or why you split it's not easy to know what to say and not right for me to guess.

Plenty of non-dyspraxic people are no better at controlling their emotions. That said I do wonder if we are not as well versed in concealing our emotions. Is that necessarily always a bad thing?

The emotion we feel vs the emotions that others want or don't want to see are often different things. We don't always know and v often aren't always able to conform to those expectations. We're unique individuals shaped by more than just our individual Neurodivergent traits.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about your breakup and the emotional difficulties you're facing. For my part, it can be helpful to find healthy coping mechanisms, such as taking a walk, practicing mindfulness or seeking support from friends or a therapist to better manage your emotions during this difficult time.

This is a normal feeling and it's a stage before healing. One thing that helped me was writing. I was writing everything I had on my mind, plans, feelings, about my day, etc.
