Anyone else bothered by scratchy labels in clothing?

Post by otis_b_flywheel »

I have a very high sensory sensitivity and have trouble buying briefs. For a while, M & S screen-printed their labels into the back of theirs and I was sorted, but now they've gone back to horrible scratchy labels at the side of the hip just where I seem to be most sensitive. I looked in Next last time I was there and they don't seem to be much better. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Tim

one thing you can do Tim is try cutting the labels off the best you can, either that or pick at the stitching, and then get someone with a sowing machine to re-seam the side that the label was on. but make sure the underwear is good enough for you first.

Personally I find I'm generaĺly ok with labels myself but some people are more sensitive to certain textures. I can't wear itchy fabrics next to my skin and don't like feeling too warm.

Is removal by scissors an option?

Oh yes ,

The uniforms at work are stiff polyester, that the shirts color will rub on my neck giving me a rash. Pants are okay though.
