If there was an operation that could cure dyspraxia would you have it performed on you knowing there was a 50/50 chance of success and if it didn't work you would die in the process?.

Dyspraxia is a bother... but not nearly enough to risk my life over, that's for sure!

He was diagnosed nearly four years ago when a friend who is an educational psychologist spotted that some of his behaviour [patterns were typical of dyslexics. She tested him and found he was more dyspraxic than dyslexic. As he could read well, we had thought he was lazy and had the most awful handwriting.

In context of the question, would I chose to have a theoretical operation to "cure" Dyspraxia which had only a 50% chance of success and equal chance that I would die? Well no, I'm just not that desperate. I'm not afraid of death or anything.. but I'm not desperate enough to go through the trauma that such a thing would put me and family through.
If hypothetically I had the chance to hit reset button of my conception and the opportunity to choose aspects of my being, then yes I would choose not to have Dyspraxia or any other neurological difficulty. I'm sure I'd be a completely different person because of that, but I don't particularly like the loneliness of who I am.
Still... back to reality. It is what it is. "Keep calm and carry on".
