Rowing

Post by Maverickbloke »

Does anyone have experience of being part of a rowing club. I’m interested to know what adaptations you have requested and how you manage your Co-ordination when one of the key skills is of course balance which is a challenge for me.

I would like to use this to improve my balance and fitness.

You could try searching online/ asking if there are any Rowing Clubs in your area and going along for a chat.

I quite fancy having a go at Stand Up Paddle Boarding but not sure I want to do it much at this time of year when any mistake will result in a cold wet dip in local river/canal. I've never been in a rowing craft but maybe they're more stable than they appear

With a foot full of bullets I tried to run faster but I just hobbled on to the next disaster.

Weirdly rowing was one of the few sports I got on with at school since there’s no throwing or catching involved.
I hope you enjoy it if you end up doing it !
