Enabling student allowance

Post by Ruth »

Wouldn't it be lovely if it were call an enabling allowance instead fo a disbility allowance. And if the symptoms were traits. And if the disability officer were called the enabling officer and so on and on and on. The use fo language is mis-directed I think. what about you guys?

That's a really nice and indeed positive way to look at it in that it describes the giving of ability to achieve what needs to be done. I suppose you could in theory say that about allowance, in that it 'allows' things, however I don't think that's really the way that word's intended.
