Running out of conversation...

Post by enigma »

Throughout my whole life I have found that I run out of conversation very quickly - even around people I have known for years. There is no shyness or anxiety in this particular case but I just really don't have anything to say at all. It feels like my mind is a blank and I have nothing to say. Even amongst family or people I am very comfortable with it is the same thing. I don't know if this is specifically related to Dyspraxia but does anyone else find they are similar?

I tend to talk about "nothing" a lot. Aimless conversations that go from topic to topic.

But I could probably go hours, days, or weeks without actually saying anything to people if the circumstances were right. If I don't have anything to talk about, I don't talk.

Not sure if there is anything Dyspraxia specific about it, but you aren't alone in sometimes just sitting in silence for hours.

Hi, yes I can definitely identify with aimless talk and going from topic to topic. I get so immersed it takes me a while to even realize!
