Some people here might have a success story that contradicts my theory BUT... Has anyone considered that dyspraxics might not be best suited to date each other? I think the basis of a good relationship is being with someone who has different strengths and weaknesses that complement each other.
Personally, I wouldn't want to date someone who had the same weaknesses as me. I'd want someone who was much more organised than I am for example...

Hmmm everyone is different really. Intend to be a little more organised than a lot of other people inspite of my dyspraxia or at least because I know my weaknesses I have strategy to get round them.

I think many Dyspraxics might feel that if they have someone like them and with some insight into what dyspraxia is.. Then they'll be more in tune of each other and more accommodating of the quirks.

i'm Ryan i've been single for nearly 2 months (circa March 2013) i was living with my partner for 4 months in Scotland but now i'm back home in Luton, and regrettably my dyspraxia is partly the cause of the break up. :( won't go into it much but if small stuff that had a negative effect happened didn't happen and vice versa -for positive that didn't happen-, things would of been different, in short my partner sent me home to avoid us despising each other but for me to get help with this -which i didn't think i needed... but finally now realised that i do need help with it- have a better life and find someone who can cope with my condition better -now i've gone on record and i probably won't stop thinking it, she is the best person who could cope with it-won't go into WHY i think that i don't want to exceed the character limit for a novel lol-- but i've said before to my friends that i hope i can get her back with all the help i can muster but i'm not expecting to get her back, expect the worst hope for the best.... anyway i'm really as of now (20th March 2012) just looking for friends and casual encounters :)

Wow... I'm not sure what's worse... Being single or bring sent home to Luton :!:

But if it makes you feel any better I've been single for 30 years, a slight cheat, since that's from birth but still ;)

Being single can be rubbish at times....but on the positive side, it's better than what a lot of people have....being with someone who doesn't really love them, and being in a relationship that doesn't work out. We are all sometimes guilty of idealising relationships IMO.

Although sometimes I wish I was with someone, I remind myself that a lot of guys my age have children they don't see at all/very often and have been in failed relationships. Then it doesn't feel quite so bad.

Hey why not, I'll throw my hat into the ring too. 32, straight male will be back in Kent as of July, but don't drive, will be visiting London for work most Saturdays but usually have a few free hours in the afternoon!
Been single now about 12 years :S , but not that fussed, when the right person comes along the right person comes along! Fortunately I'm very fatalistic in that regard ie everything happens for a reason!
To be honest I think dyspraxia is such a pick 'n' mix of symptoms that two people can still have different strengths and weaknesses.

Ive been single since 19. (Now 35) have come to the same conclusion. If its meant to happen it will. If not, there are loads of other ways to enjoy life. I tried the online dating thing a few years back and got to the point of meeting one of the guys,. Then realised how desperate he was. Decided that would NEVER be me!
There are too many things to stress you out without adding partners to it.

I've been single all my life, I'm 23 male from Staffordshire. I tend to go after the wrong girls or not realise a girl likes me until its to late. It doesn't help that I suffer from anxiety. If anyone fancys a chat then hit me up. :)

Been single my whole life bar a relationship with a girl for six weeks. Wasn't very serious and didn't last long.
