In 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Therefore nagasaki999 seemed a much more appealing username as a reminder of what man can do to destroy man. On a much more positive note its also a reminder of an ambition of mine to visit the place.
Re: Any single dyspraxic peeps!!!
Bizzare. If I were you I'd go during the lantern festival so cause there is plenty on. It's on in February. But I think if I was going so far from home I'd go to the Snow festival in Sapporo and the festival in Otaru which is also in February. Museum in Nagasaki is very good.nagasaki999 wrote:In 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. yeah I lived in Japan for 2 years. Well worth a visit. Culture very different though. So sometimes hard work but very safe. loads of festivals on and they are generally fixed so it is easy to plan to go there. trains are very good but very long country so sometimes easier to fly. the festival I liked most was the snow festival and Otaru. Well worth the visit if you can organise it. Sapporo and Otaru are only about an hour from each other on the train but beware. Very humid so very cold but the festivals are very cool. Nagasaki is nice as there is a Chineese influence there. Was the only place that was open to outsiders whent he country was closed so some dutch influence as well. Chineese influence on the food there too. Very nice dish with seafood and noodles. Train from Fukuoka to Nagasaki very impressive. Big leather seats, parquet floors and going so fast through the tunnels my ears were popping. Were you thinking of going on holidays or for work?

Wow! thats interesting. So I guess you can speak kanji or at least understand some of it. Im curious to know how you found life in Japan, you can send me a private message if you prefer not to post it on here. Im hoping my career takes me there in the near future. YOu mentioned that its very humid and cold, how cold does it get over there.?agsiul wrote:yeah I lived in Japan for 2 years. Well worth a visit. Culture very different though. Re: Any single dyspraxic peeps!!!
So to bring things back on track, i've returned to singledom and if anyone is in the South East/London and wanting to meet up for friendship/a possible relationship let me know. Ideally Tunbridge Wells or the surrounding area is best, but I am willing to travel.
