Re: Not sure if I am dyspraxic

That's great to hear back from you again. Yes I can relate to that sort of things. Luckily I can tie shoelaces now (although they don't always stya done up!) but I do struggle with things like seatbelts, and last year on holiday I took the brave (or foolish!) step of going to a roller disco at Haven...

Re: Hi from Nicky

Hi Nicky. I can relate to feeling like a teenager or child. Although I'm nearly 30 and very independent I've never actually felt like I'm an adult. For some crazily ridiculous reason I always feel like a subordinate in some way even if I'm the most senior, reliable and dependable person around and ...

Re: Hi from Nicky

Hi Tom Sorry I didn't realise you were another visitor, but it's great that people can all give encouragement ot each other. That's what life's about. I'm not sure i have dyspraxia, but so much seems to fit me, and even if I don't officially, I think the advice/sharing ideas is very helpful, as I do...

Re: Hi from Nicky

Hi Tom, Thanks for such a quicky reply. It is such a relief to find people who understand. Only this morning I broke a cup, and my husband said (not in a nasty way) that I ought to be more careful. But how can I explain that I am being ever so careful, but things just seem to mysteriously jump out o...

Re: Not sure if I am dyspraxic

Hi Maria Thanks so much for such a quick reply, and lovely to talkt to someone who understands. I think other people don't really understand why we struggle. I broke a cup only this morning and my husband said (not nastily) "you've just got to be more careful". The thing is, I'm very caref...

Hi from Nicky

Hi everyone I'm so glad I've found this great website, it's been so interesting reading posts from different people of all ages. I've just posted a rather long (well very long!) posted in the "getting help and assessment" forum, but thought I'd also introduce myself. I'm nearly 44, and at ...

Not sure if I am dyspraxic

I've just found your excellent website, and it's been amazing reading the posts. I say amazing because for years I feel life's been a struggle. Not all the time, but certain things I find really difficult, and I relate to what a lot of people say. I've had depression and panic attacks on and off for...
