Re: Unusual situation regarding dyspraxia diagnosis!
It's interesting to get the view from a qualified professional, I'd rather assumed you'd have professional contacts who would be able to refer you. Certainly the O.T who re-assessed me in Sheffield, spoke of other O.Ts who diagnosed adult (students) in Hull. Short of that I'm not really sure what to...

Re: Religion
Thank you for the plaudits gg333. However, on the subject of unicorns, I only recently shared a conversation with a proselytising christian (you know the sort) who insisted, insisted that unicorns must exist because they appear in The Bible (specifically The Book of Job, Chapter 39 verses nine throu...

Re: psychologist assement- what to expect?
How did it go?
If it was anything like mine, quite a few dexterity tests and a few visual perception tests as well as balance and co-ordination tests.

Re: Mountain Out Of A Mole Hill?!
Definitely, definitely get a proper diagnosis. The questionnaire, was originally mine and was given to me as part of my screening prior to being seen by an occupational therapist. I requested it be posted here for this reason: People often come on here asking, not unreasonably, 'Am I dyspraxic'? and...

Re: Basic requirements whe looking for love
Male pattern baldness is inherited on the X chromosome so, inquire after their mother's father for clues and ask if their paternal uncles have an affinity for hats. There's some research that supports this legend, although there's no one gene responsible but it is apparently a recessive x...

Re: starting my PGCE
ASk about what support you will receive on placement. I was well supported within the university but the schools felt no obligation to honour my learning contract and in many instances weren't told about it. I failed my PGCE in the classroom not in the University, so I urge you to press your disabil...

What happened?
I did the peg-board test too. Failed it utterly. *lol*
My tests involved perception and copying as well as physical control like balance and ambidextrous motion.

Re: In need of some expert advice!
I think no definitive link. From what I've read dyspraxia and dyslexia and other associated disorders do not have an impact on intelligence, indeed dyspraxics are frequently quite intelligent and frustrated by an inability to communicate this because of the disruption to their spoken and written out...

Yup. All hand-carved with designs from the internet.
Got some fine hand cramps doing all this carving but it was worth it.

Re: Essay (Result!)
I was given some software called 'Inspiration' which works like an interactive diagram and mind map that helps to structure essays. You might enquire after that as it may help you. Personally, and this is kind of funny, I found it a bit too constricting because my 'mind maps' are hierarchical and we...
