Re: School Musical
Its a bit out of order for your drama teacher to say that and its not helpful. Theater is very much a different world and yes this is just school but with acting you have to understand and get used to being very much open minded with yourself and open and close to others and be prepared and discipli...

Re: Filling in aplication forms
Were do we fail and how do we ask for a adjustment in a interview, I.e getting the question beforehand. Where do we fail - that's quite a big question and I guess a lot of it depends on the type of job your going for and what the interview is like etc. There are a number of common dyspraxic issues ...

Re: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I am defiantly not the typical extrovert 'bubbly' type of person those people annoy me - probably because I am so opposite to this. Ditto, its probably a little unfair of me to judge them if I don't really know them but I cant help it, more a flaw in my personality than there's. what do you mean Mr...

Re: Do we bite off more than we can chew?
This has all happened to me - especially during collage / unie days, I used to do paid or unpaid work in theater as a lighting tech but also while doing my course. I thought that I could just do it no problem but then when you factor in the amount of time it takes to complete a assignment + the othe...

Re: Does anyone have Dyspraxia and depression?
I don't personally know you but going on what your saying it seams your being too harsh on yourself (I know its easily done though and I know I am being hypocritical). its never the time to worry if your never going to be in a relationship. I am sure it will happen in time you just have to be paitai...

Re: Dyspraxia (?) and Speaking
I have had a lot of issues in the past with speaking and communicating. One of the main problems is not being able to really think before I talk so I end up saying the wrong thing in situations, not talking clearly and consistency as I haven't they time to think about it, offending people by what I ...

Re: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I would have to say introvert although I haven't really thought as to what extent but I know I am defiantly not the typical extrovert 'bubbley' type of person those people annoy me - probably because I am so opposite to this.

Re: Normal Jobs for Dyspraxics
Warehouse work often involves heavy machinery such as forklifts, lorries and other material handling equipment but it depends on where you work. Some warehouses like big distribution centers will have a lot more machinery and equipment then smaller warehouses that may have a fue material handling ma...

Re: Forklift driving
That sounds good, if i had a driving license and was a good driver and dident want to go back into the entertainment industry as a technician then I would consider trying to get a HGV license as the work is there and the money is good. The closest I will get to being a distribution driver is drivers...

Re: Motivation
I agree with the small targets method, if you assine yourself a lode of work then that can be off putting and leads to procrastinating and reasons for putting it off. Set small targets achieve it one at a time and only when one has been done think about going to the next one taking it in steps. You ...

Hi Cameron, firstly welcome to the forum
Dyspraxicia should not directly affect your choice of collage but it should be condenserd how much support you get at the collages your looking at and weather your suitable to do the courses your interested in doing.

Re: A letter to my former teachers.
Grate idea to send a letter to your former teachers and school - hopefully it will raise there awareness of dyspraxicia and hopefully help others. Its usual for people with ADHD and / or dyslexia to get help as its a lot more known about and more understood however dyspraxicia still remains unknown ...

Re: Dyspraxia and Depression
So now when I feel myself getting like that I say no s*d it I can do things quickly or properly and if that aint good enough so be it, which kinda helps. Some times that is the only way to deal with things without letting it pile up on you completely - you just have to do the best you can and say t...
