Re: Controlling ones Dyspraxia

I am not too sure what you want to achieve when you say controlling Dyspraxicia - yes there are competing stragities but unforantly Dyspraxicia is not something you can really 'cover up' or control it totally I think that your friend probably doesn't really understand Dyspraxicia that so I would say...

Re: The Key is finding a guy or gal who understands.

I would be up for a whole forum (or as best we can) meet up, a weekend thing would be ideal as if people are going to travel then it makes it worth while. I don't really have a problem of where (I will travel and make the effort), the midlands sounds like a good option as its probably the most equal...

Re: Nasty people.

Its a shame your friend dident see or understand the way you feel - often if people haven't experienced things like it then they arnt going to understand.
At least he realized that things are bad for you even if it was a bad process of him realizing.

Re: Recent posts

I think this is a problem with the forum provider (php) I am on another forum and I...

Re: How do I get diagnosed?

I would say that the first thing to do would be to do a Google search for education psychologists, dspraxicia diagnosis etc. In the Lincolnshire / Yorkshire area etc that may come up with some suitable results. The other option would be to contact the dyspraxicia foundation and see if they know of p...

Re: No Skills, No Benefits

Allthough I can understand that skills such as maths and English are important it doesn't mean you can't get a job without them - yes it may not be top / high paid jobs but a job none the less and that is surely better then the job center

I am really getting into my tye dye cloths (takes colour to another level) as well as some more 'alternative' cloths and things that cant be found on the high street but that's another topic :ban...

Re: Any one know of Gadgets and software

A 2nd screen is really beneficial, i worked with one when I was at unie and it really helped to organize the work flow - i.e. have information on one screen while writing on the other - it saved switching between internet view to word etc. The other thing that isent really a gadget is having a big d...

Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off

If people are put off by you then they are put off by you that's just the way it goes - and it probably wouldn't work anyway. However it does not mean all hope is not lost - there are people out there that will give you a chance, if they do they are probably going to understand and warm to you more....

Re: No Skills, No Benefits

I see both sides of the argument hear - on paper and politically yes it seams like a good idea but I really doubt it will go through. Many ideas get thought up in thies 'think tanks' and many don't make it through at all and I think this is one of those. If it does seam more likely then I think ther...

Re: The Key is finding a guy or gal who understands.

Yes as only if it were simple, then again if its all just simple and going well all of the time. Weather that's finding someone or being with someone then its probably not right in various ways - there has to be a balance of some sorts. I am lucky and I have a girlfriend that does understands, altho...

Re: An answer to a lot of things? Hi, I'm new here :)

I don't think reynolds is common / related to dyspraxicia its a separate thing but its just unfortunate for you really. Hopefully the GP is understanding and has a better understanding of whats going on and take you serosley and not think your being over the top and wasting there time.
