Re: lerning to drive /help and support

hi jade, yes driving is one of the hardest things to do, I did do it in a manual car, and only 3 months of driving lessons of twice a week with the instructor, but I still wasn't 100% ready for it, even though I was determind to pass, but it also meant me driving every chance I could possibly get wi...

Re: Hello!

I was diagnosed by the GP at the age of 10, but we never got told the diagnosis until I was 30, which was when I chased up my medical records after seeing Dore on tv. but kind of knew there was something in my medical records but didn't know what until I viewed them myself. as for the school it was ...

Re: Hello!

Welcome to the forum Teamea. I know kind of how you feel, well my school teachers did pick up on it very easily, as it was seriously affecting my handwriting speed to the point that I would do 3 lines off the blackboard compaired to like about 20 lines on the blackboards, and the other kids finished...

Re: STRUGGLING A BIT TODAY

well 6 years on Nicky, since finding out about my diagnosis, it still feels like banging my head against a brick wall every day with the whole world, and 99% of them all say it is depression talking. I don't know why but doctors etc. seem too quick to jump on the depression band wagon rather than wh...

Re: categorising dyspraxia: a learning disability?

I would have to go with all of the above to extent. because yes it affects me in so many different ways. I think the one that I would least agree with is learning disability, because it is more to do with the lack of help, and understanding from the outside world, than learning. like most of us want...

my fav. is the Isle of Wight, it is cheap enough to goto so take 3 friends down there, but only last year we actually went camping there for a couple of days, but it was touch and go on the ferry as we had the hurrican over the uk the night before, so it damaged my tent poles a little, and all the f...

Re: Video Game Help Thread

I play WoW every so often, but haven't played it for about a year as the private server went down, as the people that run it decided to go on to bigger better things. but occassionally run my own private server running version 3.3.5 old style, which I think the current version is 4.1 or something. b...

Re: Self diagnosis?

as a self diagnosed 36 year old. then I would say get yourself diagnosed for piece of mind, but as an actual diagnosed then I am happier that I do know now. not that it makes a real blind bit of difference in the real world, but at least it explains a lot about childhood problems. but I also did hav...

only shunting the artic without the trailer around the yard without a trailer, as it was a saturday work experience, which turned into a full weekend for about 4 months, it was great. kind of helping others out if they needed help in the workshop as a fitter. apart from that I have done 6 days train...

Re: Forklift driving

well done with the test for a forklift, personally I did try driving one from point a - b in the yard some nearly 20 years ago, but I had to jump off, as I couldn't cope with the rear wheels doing the steering. so it was quite scary feeling, of like driving on ice. which is totally different to driv...

Re: really dislike busses when they are busy

I don't know what cars in Europe, but here in the UK then the only car romour has it that you could drive on a provisional was the old Robin Reliant, and it was supposedly because it only had forward gears, then you could drive it on a provisional, or so the story goes. but for the passed 10 - 20 ye...
