eInk - monitors and Kindles - eyes over sensitive to light

Hi all, For a long time I’ve had difficulties with discomfort from bright lighting and screens (and when they are combined, specifically with monitors). I found out some time after i had this problem, that having eyes that are sensitive to light can be a symptom of dyspraxia. Ive just ordered an old...

Re: DRIVING INSTRUCTOR REQUIRES ADVICE

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to learn. That's good of you! A few things: - Giving clear instructions in plenty of time. - On roundabouts, although I know they won't do this on test, a point in the direction of the exit I will be taking (before entering the roundabout) would be appreciated ...

Re: Long-Term Memory

YES! Interesting you should comment on this. I also feel as though I can recall quite a lot of details from long term memory, and certainly have lots of memories of being a young child. I also ruminate on these memories quite a lot too, but that's not necessarily related to Dyspraxia. I never though...

Congratulations! It is such a great feeling to pass your test. I don't know the exact number of hours it took me but it was over at least 2 years and definitely a lot more than 50 - probably nearer 200. I seem to remember reading that 47 is about average but I could have completely made that up to ...

I never thought I'd 'get' it - but I just passed my test. Thoughts for other learners inside. [Automatic - UK]

Hi all, I've been hoping for a while that I'd be able to share this post with you all, and try to share what I've found helpful on my journey (no pun intended) of learning to drive. I hope the below contains some useful information, and anyone who wishes to is welcome to ask as many questions as the...

Re: What are you working on?

Dan, I am also (slowly!) trying to learn to code. I'm following a book for C, and also have a book for Python lined up. I've done a fair bit of research of different areas and have spent a lot of time 'hopping between' different languages that I think are best to start first! I would honestly recom...

Re: Time Management Techniques for Work?

Hi Tom, Thanks very much for the welcome, and no you did not tread on my toes at all! I think that was very good clarification, I'm sure that technique can be further honed as you have done there. You're absolutely right, some customers and other members of staff will think that their issue is the m...

Re: Time Management Techniques for Work?

Skyebison, I feel your pain. I might not be the best person to help, because I recognize myself in a lot of what you've said and have come to this forum in part to seek support with similar things. "basically my problem is that I have so much to get done I end up getting very little done becaus...
