Re: Fast learner, but easily bored

The main problem with me is that I'd hate a structured environment, and I tend to get bored when I feel obliged to learn something. I thrive in chaos, that's the one thing I know.

Re: Fast learner, but easily bored

I've noticed that I tend to study better when I'm interested in a subject, so, if you have trouble studying in advance, you might just hate the subject. I'm only going off of my perspective though, I'm not sure if what you study bored you or not. As an example: I decided to learn Japanese because I ...

Re: Blackadder

I'd watch something like that, definitely. I think that they could also play on Rowan Atkinson's comedy spy film roles, by having him as an intelligence agent for MI6/SIS, maybe during the modern day. Imagine that: Blackadder comedy, with spy tropes.

Fast learner, but easily bored

I noticed while studying languages, that as soon as I get a good grasp on what it is I'm meant to be learning, I toss the book with a "good enough for now" type attitude. Idk if I have undiagnosed ADHD or something. I do know that I can hyper-focus sometimes like people with ADHD are meant...

Re: People find me annoying

Hi Bowiefan, it might interest you to know that Dyspraxia at times comes with ADHD and/or Autism. There are high rates of being bullied for those with ADHD and Autism, so I think that might have something to do with things like this. It probably wouldn't be the Dyspraxia itself, BUT, it might be mor...

Re: Will I ever get to have a "hot" girlfriend if I have dyspraxia?

I have been called out on this for being blunt before, but I'm certain most on the forum are like "what even" after reading this. *facepalm* Yes, you can have a hot girlfriend if you have Dyspraxia, there are people who don't have legs who have hot girlfriends, if you drop a glass on the f...

Re: Living with a flat mate

I haven't been in a similar situation, honestly with things like that, I think my undiagnosed OCD helps immensely. I check lights, doors, taps, ovens, etc., around 5 or 6 times in the space of 10 minutes before I am content that everything is secure. I'm very alert to things that are going on, and a...

Re: Bullying at work

People deal with belittling? Insult them and quit or something. You could try self employment in some area. Bullying isn't something I'd accept whenever dealing with subordinates, and I'm not the type to bully people I work with or over. I'd check to see if I can take a civil case against someone ab...

Re: Dyspraxic struggling to find a relationship.

Dyspraxia never got me called nice, actually I was called an a**hole by one or two ex girlfriends, but nothing to do with Dyspraxia :P I think you just need to have self confidence, don't be an a**hole though, remember, the people who called me that are exes, but you need to feel confident about you...

Welcome to the forum. I completely agree with you about not letting Dyspraxia be a limit, I've posted similar stuff before on this(I'm relatively new here, just on this a few weeks.)

Re: People find me annoying

While I agree with Jim that freezing out EVERYONE is bad, I just mean freezing out people who are toxic or...who insist on CONSTANTLY being disagreeable. I love friends who can be critical and who I can argue with over differences of opinion, to an extent, but, I don't think you should let people th...

Re: People find me annoying

Do people actually talk to you like that? I say...don't stay around them, look to do something else, go anywhere else, even if working on a farm for a few months as a volunteer. You really need to get away from people like that. You can also try calling them out on their issues. If some insults you,...

You could write down reminders in your phone for yourself if you have trouble remembering certain things. Depends on whether or not your phone has an app for that. Just...I'd make sure she didn't find out, if it were me.

Re: Missing somebody and Introducing

Love is kind of overrated. It's just a biochemical reaction that wears off in time. If people stay together for decades, it's more to do with familiarity than actual lifelong "love." I guess it is possible the chemical reaction can happen again between two or more people, but that just sho...
