Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off
F Andrews, I agree with Chris, shame on them. You come across as quite mature, caring and supportive. I imagine you have a lot to offer people. I irritates me endlessly when people won’t give others a chance. I have wondered if I seem out place on this forum since I already have found a partner but I ...

Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partnners off
There are people out there who will accept your exactly as you are. I think it sometimes helps me to look for people to connect to in different kinds of groups. I have found that when I don't fit in somewhere I tend to keep trying to push for acceptance when those people have just decided I am not ...

Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off
always seem to get a bit clumsy infront of people and always go red and loose my train of thought, but does this put people off from a partner. I mean what do you look for?? Moleyface1991 I freeze and say and do silly things when I become anxious around people. I have had severe panic attacks and ...

Re: Problems with communication and socialisation
This is an area I don't always feel confident in myself. I've come to the conclusion that some people don't respect my being quite timid and/or uncertain and tongue tied. By Tom Fod People seem to measure other people against their own experiences. If they are relatively confident socially, they ...

Re: have i passed dyspraxia to miy son?
Hi Tom, Thanks again for replying to my posts! I find your replies very helpful and encouraging. My son has difficulty doing sports because of his dyspraxia. At school he walks around alone during recess because he can't keep up with the other kids. They are too fast and he can't run fast enough to ...

Re: Problems with communication and socialisation
I think sometimes being too deferential doesn't help people as far as their accepting us. by Tom Fod Can you please explain what you mean by being too deferential? People rarely approach me here for friendship so I have to make all the effort. Do you mean trying to become friends seems deferential?

Re: have i passed dyspraxia to my son?
I have a 6 year old son who has been identified as having Dyspraxia on his assessment by an Occupational Therapist. He is also very very similar to me. I am sure I have Dyspraxia although I have never been diagnosed. I also feel guilty. He is lonely at school because he can't keep up with the other ...
