Possessiveness
Does anyone else find that when they finally get a really close friend or romantic partner that they become stupidly possessive of them? I was just wondering if anyone else felt that, and was wondering if it was maybe because I find it difficult to make many friend when I manage I want to keep them ...

Re: Religion
I don't believe in god or gods. I believe in energy, I can measure that, and I can study it's effects, and my reason for not believing in a higher power is that most days I can't even tell if I'm real. If I can't even commit to myself being a reality, well...

Re: Hair care
I tried to have nice long hair for year, I gave up, I think my hair is a fringe away from making me be classed as a skin head. I basically shaved all my hair off except for the fringe bit, more out of not wanting to look too much like my dad, but hey low maintenance hair in a flash!

Re: Insensitive family members
I understand this. For years because my academic acheivement was above average even if everything else was not it got ignored that something was wrong. I was just "lazy" and "stubborn" and that was my family not the school. Still to this day if I try to talk to my dad about him s...

Touching weirdness
Do you ever find that there are some people who you are quite happy to touch for hours, but others if they even brush your skin you want to run a mile? I know I do, and there are some people who even after years of knowing them I can only just manage a hand shake, and others after meeting for 20 min...

Re: Hi
Haha, it's not so much that I was up early, as up late.. I have a really bad sleeping schedule. I sometimes stay up for three days without sleep then sleep 18 hours solid... I wear tinted glasses to read and the words no longer dance on the page. I found that out by accident when reading o...

Re: Arrogance? (on my part)
I get that too. Don't worry it's not you it is them. Basically when dyspraxics get excited about something they channel their inner aspergic traits, loudness, incessant talking and not letting a subject they like go. It get interpreted as arrogance, mostly because people don't like to be told they a...

Re: Any issues between Dyspraxia/Intimacy?
I am really odd on the contact thing. once I trust someone I am a touch vampire, I need touch for reassurance of where people are in relation to me, as I know if I am holding hands with someone I won't walk into them for example. Erm with sex it's interesting, I don't like sticky wet substances... Y...

Re: Our view of the world
I'm hugely impulsive, so I will randomly get an urge to do something and I will usually follow through. I like the smell of books. Hate certain fabrics love others cant eat certain food, but there are others i will happily munch on for days. I watch people all the time, cause its really interesting....

Re: Taking some things literally
Yep, I relate. I'm always getting into trouble for being too literal, or having no sense of humour. It's just when you go, but it's not funny... Even when I understand the implied joke later I often still don't find it funny. Although taking things literally can be good in a way, a lot of my friends...

Re: Telling people you have dyspraxia
At school I was labeled as lazy and uncooperative. I finally got tested at college - they thought I had aspergers... #-o Then when it turned out I have dyspraxia they basically gave me no help, but hey I got to use a computer in my exams, so they were helping right?? Then the second college I went t...

Re: MEMORY
Hmm, my memory for stuff is terrible. I'm always forgetting where Im going/what i'm doing. Who I'm meeting, ive taken to writing everything down when I plan it in a diary I keep on me ALL the time. I carry it with me everywhere so I can write down new plans straight away so I don't forget. It's a pa...

Hi
I have been looking for a while to find stuff like this and finally hit the right combo for words for google. anyone else find that google tries to tell you you are not dyspraxic but dyslexic?? I get that a lot... I just want to see if there is any support I can get as an adult, and find better ways...
