Does anyone here have Tumblr?

Hey everyone! I've just started a tumblr account and I'm looking for more followers. It would be great to meet and talk to new people on the site too! :) I'm working on a blog about how I've lived with and dealt with Dyspraxia which will be posted in a few days. But I post other random stuff too :gr...

Re: Clothing that you hate

Certain materials can really bug me like nylon or anything like lycra and clothes that are tight-fitting. But I wonder if that's because I'm very self-concious of my figure more than it being a dyspraxic thing.

Re: Difficulty with Sounds

I have issues with any noise, when im studying anytime i hear a noise it distracts me and I end up forgetting what I was doing :( Hahaha yeah I'm exactly the same! The worst for me if someone wants my attention when I'm in the middle of doing something. Then I get distracted, it's so easy for me to...

Re: Lust and Commitment Problems

It's completely not his thing :p I decided not to go in the end as work wouldn't allow me to have that time off anyway. I understand though about the whole commitment issue. Everyone keeps banging on about when my boyfriend and I will get married and it actually does my head in because im not intere...

Re: Difficulty with Sounds

I generally have trouble with sudden noises especially if it's quiet and I am intensely concentrating on something. When I was a kid and If I was concentrating on homework and my mum would call me down for dinner I would freak out to the point of screaming my head off! :P I don't like the sound of t...

Re: Food Textures

I'm fairly fussy with food textures too, I'm fine with mushrooms and tomatoes but I generally don't like certain foods if they are either soggy or pureed. :P I don't put milk in my cereal as it's just too much of a soggy texture for me to eat. I rather drink my milk separately in a glass, which so m...

Re: Really struggeling with family

I'm not a parent and I don't intend to be- but I completely understand where you are coming from when it comes to screaming children. I'm usually on the verge of panic attacks when my friends toddler screams and throws tantrums, it actually makes me want to cry! xx

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Definitely! And I did not have a clue until recently that fatigue is a common trait of being Dyspraxic. No matter how many hours sleep I get, whether it's 4 or 10 I can still feel exhausted during the day. The worst is coming home from a 3-4 hour shift and feeling exhausted. I'm hoping to be a teach...

Re: Lust and Commitment Problems

I understand how you feel. Even though I have never cheated, I have been known to have felt entrapped in relationships. The first guy I dated hated the idea of me having friends to the point of making up lies about them disliking me, etc. The guy I'm with now is the complete opposite, even though I ...

Re: Dyspraxia in retail / a shoe shop

Oh my god. I relate to this so much! I've also been working in a shoe shop during the past year, probably the same company as you, but a different branch in a different area of the country. I struggle with exactly the same thing. It took me ages to learn orders, I've ordered the shoe in the...

Re: DOES ANY SLEEP A LOT LIKE 14 HOURS

I definitely do!! I usually need around 10-12 hours of sleep or I get crabby. I sometimes wonder if I am an insomniac when I am on my own, I am very nocturmal and usually stay up at 4am and get out of bed at 2pm... Unless I have to be somewhere I do try to go to bed and get up earlier but if there i...

Re: Any issues between Dyspraxia/Intimacy?

I have heard this is a very common thing amongst us Dyspraxics, which made me realise I am not so much of a cold-hearted cow I thought I was! * \:D/ *PHEW* I've dated 2 guys throughout my entire life, the second guy I am still in a relationship with, and will be for five years pretty soon! The first...
