Definately improves/gets worse at different times.
I think it could be more or less resolved with the right help.
Might ask the GP about speech therapy but nor really comfortable discussing my learning disabilities.

meetings at Uni
Do any unis or colleges have ways that Dyspraxic people can meet to discuss issues affecting them/ swap advice etc?
(Like a society but a bit more discrete)
If not why not? (My uni doesnt seem to)

Re: Aspiring mature student, needs advice
You should go straight to the disability department as soon as you enrol or even before if possible. The mentoring and computer software I was given are very helpful but Ive only started to use them in my final year due to late diagnosis. Have you done an access course or similar?

Re: Repeating the last decade
from the UK but tend to do jobs normally done by foreigners (I feel out of place sometimes but also tend to get on better with foreigners so overall this is a good thing) . Basically I only have qualifications for 'unskilled' work (i.e no qualifications). Ive done too many jobs to list here. Some Iv...

Job website for dyspraxics
Is there some sort of informal employment website with casual jobs that dyspraxics can do?
If not why not and why not set 1 up?
I could even add suggestions for jobs.

Re: Repeating the last decade
what about some sort of informal employment website with casual jobs that dyspraxics can do? I know that there are some organisations already but think this could be developed much more. I could even add suggestions for jobs. As I think Ive mentioned I tend to come back to the UK to work to save up ...

Re: Repeating the last decade
yes. I agree that it can be unhealthy to look back too much but I also meant that post in a positive way (which is why I have to acknowledge the negative). As you say you can use your experience to contribute to understanding of Dyspraxia and help other people with it. I think that attitudes to thes...

Repeating the last decade
I was diagnosed last year at the age of 29. My ADHD and Dyspraxia prevented me from developing either professionally or personally at anything like a normal rate. Obviously Im simplifying the issue but bascially I will be in the same position at 31 as I should have been at 21. I mean this in terms o...

Help with speech
Im considering finding a way to improve my speech which can be unclear sometimes. I speak slowly and annunciate a lot which means sometimes people think Im foreign which can be embarrassing (not being rascist: I wouldnt mind if I actually was foreign). Perhaps speech therapy would help but perhaps a...

Re: Brain damage
I realise that people often react negatively to the brain damage label but it would allow me to be blunt and frank about the issue instead of trying to explain more complex definitions. Ive also sometimes said 'severely dyslexic' because most people an accept that idea even though the symptoms are d...
