Re: feels ledt out

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time of things. It sounds to me that you have a lot of anxiety too - not surprising, many of us do. I think that it would be very helpful for you to get a diagnosis (if you can). I was diagnosed with something related as a child (clumsy child syndrom...

Re: bullying

My experience was a bit different I think. I did get bullied but I was kind of often off in my own world so it didn't bother me much. Since my most obvious problems are fine rather than gross motor skills, I didn't have the problems with sports that many of you had. After about 9, physical education...

Re: Holiday Destinations

I've done three cruises (just got back from the last one) in the southern Caribbean. It is nice and warm this time of year. The cruise leaves from San Juan, Puerto Rico so we also spent a couple of extra days there. I don't really like big cities and I love oceans and some warmth this time of year s...

Re: Blog

I just wanted to mention that I'm going away for 10-11 days and won't be updating my blog (not that I've been great checking on it). I'm sure that I'll have a lot of material for it when I get back. Thanks for reading, it means a lot to me.

Would it be possible to have a speaker come in and talk about learning disabilities in general first and then focus on dyspraxia and the workplace?
Perhaps they need it explained by someone who doesn't have dyspraxia.

Re: Are you a visual learner ?

I am definitely an auditory learner. I stopped taking notes when I was in university and just listened to lectures. I remembered pretty much everything that the professor said. Part of this is probably the difficulty I have writing because I can't process information and write it down at the same ti...

I just opened a new packet of sugar. I had to cut off the top of the packet so there was no way of closing it properly afterwards so I was lookingin a drawer for a clip to close the packet and elbowed the packet, knocked it over and half the sugar spilled out all over the floor #-o .....excellent s...

Re: Clothing that you hate

socks - I forgot to mention them. I hate socks particularly if they are tight or too short. In the summer, I don't wear them but since I live in Canada, they are pretty necessary in the winter.

PS: You don't sound like a nutter iame

Clothing that you hate

So what kind or item of clothing do you hate or struggle with? Doing up small buttons is sometimes more than I can handle in the morning so I leave the buttons done up on my shirts and then just pull them over my head. I had a coat that went down to my knees and I had to drag it up to try and do up ...

She went both ways for me. I don't get how it works but she would switch back and forth randomly - it actually made me feel a little motion sick.

...I was saying "bright light bright light!" automatically everytime I went out and I had no idea why I was saying it... I say "it hurts, it hurts" when I go outside. Part of my reaction is due to the migraines but I am also quite sensitive to light. Strangely, I prefer natural ...

Re: why do forms/written academic work feel like being in ag

Overlaps with work really. Some would say that it is just poor time management but why is it that when its filling in application forms, covering letters or doing written assignments I feel like I am being superstressed and in mental agony? I have often imagined that academics with their PHD's do t...
