Its funny you should ask, I can inline skate, and I'm actually not that bad, but at first it wouldn't be the first time I've took a tumble, but as you know, if you fall over its just a case of getting back up and keep on trying, just like everything else in life.

Dyspraxic Children

Hi there folks, this is something that over the passed year has passed through my mind on more than one occasion. What do you think, if both parents have dyspraxia (yes both), are the chances of the children being dyspraxic? Is dyspraxia a dominant or recessive gene? I would suppose thats another wa...

Firstly, what do you class as a mental illness? I know a counselor I saw not too long ago said that stress/anxiety/depression, that one of them was infact a mental illness. Would you say this was the case, if so then I would say yes, I have been diagnosed with a mental illness.

Organisation

Hi folks, I have recently just started at university on a foundation degree program and already I am worried, I just don't know what to do. They say you need to be organised to pass the course, that you should re-write your own notes (not a good idea, I can't even read my own writing) and going back...

There is some comedy I enjoy, the likes of billy connoly and lennie henry for instance, for what I term as 'idiotic' comedy, where you are supposed to laugh at people because they are acting stupid, for instance friends, I never understood it, why laugh at people being stupid, I mean stupid is somet...

thats a very good question. I am not sure, I am right handed for writing, left handed for some other things. But sometimes, they kinda switch, you know, I end up with writing better in my left hand and other things the other way round, it switches an awful lot

I'll tell you something which i have found to be rather odd, number wise anyway. I like the numbers 2, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20 etc, if you follow that pattern you'll see theres a good collection, but I just think it is so funny. 2 is a fifth of the ten, 5 is half way, and 8 of course is just 2 off ...

with regards to instructions, if people are going to give them to me, then i live by the acronym Keep It Simple Stupid (Kiss), if people say more than two steps, (short steps) then I get lost and confused, and I hate it, I always forget instructions so sometimes I get them to write it down for me, b...

I often find housework to be rather awkward, but all I do is play some of my favourite music loudly while I'm doing the housework, I take as long as I need, making sure I do everything as its supposed to be done, trying not to break the washing machine or slipping on water I spilled from the sink wh...

I'm a perfectionist at heart, I was always a perfectionist, I'm trying to teach myself that mistakes happen, perfection is nigh achievable but it doesnt work. I don't know if theres a way out of it though, big pain in the butt to be honest.

If I remember right theres information in the book 'Dyspraxia: The Hidden Handicap' by Amanda Kirby, if I remember right its down to the fact, she says that a dyspraxic doesnt know how to turn their brain off or something daft like that. But I have major sleep issues myself, peculiar eh?
