Hi everyone

Post by edwardsjethro »

Hi everyone,

I recently read an article about dyspraxia and realized that it was talking about me! I found out that there was a name for some of the difficulties I have had since childhood. I learned that I was not just an awkward clumsy person and that other people had these same problems.

I am looking forward to getting to know the other people on this forum.

Hi
Welcome to the Forum. It's been around since 2006 and while a lot of discussion happens on Soxial Media, this an infinitely more searchable resource.

Sorry for a slow response, it was reading that led to me discovering my dyspraxia in 1999 - Amanda Kirby's book. What did you read please?

Hi edwardsjethro! Welcome to the forum. I remember being so happy when I was diagnosed and could say 'oh, that's why!" It really helped me make sense of a lot.

Hope to see you around the forums.

Yes it was the same for me, I still remember my powerful sense of relief when I left my assessors office in 2002.

It still drives me to try to better understand myself and support others by sharing my experiences.
