Nhs test

Post by Hannah4 »

In the process of trying to get a dyspraxia diagnoses on the NHS. My referral has been put through and I’m in the waiting period. I’m aware this could be quite some time. People who also got an NHS referral (England) any idea on how long it took to get the assessment?

Hi

Regrettably I don't think it's possible to gauge as NHS provision varies dependent on where you are. Not sure if the Dyspraxia Foundation would know anymore than we do.

Did your GP or surgery team offer any indication ? Who/where did your GP refer you to?

Hi,
I may get in touch with the dyspraxia foundation and see if they have any advice! I’m in the south west and my gp sent my referral to the nearest hospital (who apparently don’t do the tests…). They are unable to give me a time frame which is quite frustrating. Will definitely keep pushing them to find me an answer. Thanks for your response :)
