Intimacy

Post by Glitch »

I was just wondering if anybody else finds emotional intimacy very difficult in relationships?

I find both men and women hard to read (women are harder!) and hate letting people get close to me... Hence I tend to sabotage boyfriends or girlfriends when I start to like them

Does anybody else get this?

All this is so new. I think I have done this as I am scared to of screwing up with a girlfriend.

Its something everyone goes through out of fear of making mistakes. I tried to push Clive away so many times when we got together, but the stubborn way he is, he just wouldnt go... 5 years later we're still together and happier than ever.

I've had this same difficulty. Its better now I think you just learn as you go along and if you have an understanding girlfriend it helps too. I had my first girlfriend at 23. Now I'm 37. I'm not saying its easy but its not always beacuse of dyspraxia what one feels.
