Has anyone been affected by the torrential downpours we have been having in the UK recently???

I wasn't, but my Aus cousins were affected, they were going to goto Alton Towers on their way back to Wales from Scotland in June, and someone said that it was a washout, so they left it for a couple of weeks, and then travelled back up there the week that they left.

I live in Gloucester, but luckily in the small part that wasn't directly affected by the flooding. I live right in the city centre, and just a few roads away from some of the flooded areas.

The water is going to run out soon and there may soon be a problem with the electric as well.

i've not been affected. but my dad has. he lives somewhere in oxford. He was at my mums house his weekend when we saw the town centres of the areas he usually lives in were on the news last night flooded. So hes going to stay somewhere else this week. Its awful how loads of the country is flooded though.

We had not electric between about 7am until about 1hr ago. No water since last night, and the electric may not last long as they are battling to protect the substation. They say the worst has not yet come. [-o<
