Does anyone else have constant nightmares? I've always suffered with these really graphic bad dreams. It can be anything from someone simply being mean to me to someone trying to kill or do bad things to me. Sometimes it's paranormal too :/. Anyone know of anything that could helo stop them?

No expert on dreams, but when I get nightmares, it is often a sign of physical discomfort: needing to go to the bathroom, being cold, thirsty, eaten too much etc., light If like me you are prone to watch thrillers late at night, you can start to feel you are part of the scene. I also am more likely to get nightmares when I am anxious about a situation, like interviews or exams, or feel that people are expecting too much of me or I have expected too much of myself and committed to things I feel I can not do. We can not control every situation, but make sure you are as physically comfortable as you can be. Avoid alcohol, coffee, salty food or stuff with monosodium glutamate, spicy foods, or very acidic foods or nuts late in the evening. If you want a bedtime snack, something starchy, but not to sweet and and bland. Likewise with your late night reading, listening or viewing material tv, radio music etc, choose something benign, and heartwarming or funny.
You could also try, if you are worried before you go to sleep about something, visualising something very pleasant, a place or situation that makes you feel happy and calm. If there is stuff in your life that is troubling you, you may or may not be able to resolve it. However if it is linked to anxieties about your symptoms of dyspraxia, try to accept that you may need to spend more time getting ready for anything important and may need to practically plan ahead sooner and make lists, or mentally rehearse, well before you go to bed, what you need to do and imagine the scenario gong right.
I won't ask you this as a direct question, because you may not want to talk about it, but if your circumstances are that you are experiencing or witnessing aggressive, physical or verbal, behaviour in you day to day life, it may be that if you can, you consider removing yourself from the situation, or if you can not, talk to someone in confidence about it.

No, I'm safe. I do have anxiety. I just always suffered with them. But I'll try what you suggested. I thought maybe there was something I could take to calm them down. Thank you for the reply

I have very vivid dreams too and I used to sleep walk as a kid but since my anxiety got worse they've all been nightmares I thought it was associated with my aspergers syndrome as I've read that people with asd's find it hard to get their brain to shut down when they go to sleep.
Theres a nightime rescue remedy spray thats supposed to help your mind clear and get you to sleep quickly that you could try. Also hypnotherapy can teach you self hypnosis type techniques which you can use when trying to get to sleep.
If you find anything that works please share as I'm constantly on the look out for something that eases the nightmares without resorting to drugs or trying to get soem sort of counselling to work out whats causing them.

I don't have nightmares as such, but I do have 'uncomfortable' dreams. E.g. I might be worried about something, I'll have a dream about it and this horrible feeling would come over my body. Hate it.
Sometimes I have actual nightmares, but I don't often.
