No idea of where to go with work

Post by bp1981 »

Hello. I am a dyspraxic who really wants a career change. Trouble is I have no idea of what to do. All of the previous jobs I have had ended rather badly. I guess I have never given them any thought and just took them on to earn money. I am now 32 and really want to do something rewarding and satisfying. I have many interests and always put 100% in to anything. Be good to hear of others with similar problems.

Thanks,
Ben

I think that it is quite difficult in finding your personal area of work, funding a role which fits your capabilities and enables you to feel relatively comfortable.

I can relate to jobs not ending well and it's extremely difficult in choosing a new job and then even harder to actually get it.

But, you've got to assess your skills and find something in which you can apply those skills.

A few years ago there were some colleges and organisations offering adult careers interviews, if you can find one it may be worth it especially as you are not obliged to agree with or action the results it may give you a starting point, alternatively you could try doing your own swot analysis [ strengths, weakness opportunities and threats] to see if that gives you a starting point. Good luck

Try the Genius Within website. The people behind it are pretty cool.
