Rubiks cubes and BBC's 'The Apprentice'

So, last night, I was watching the penultimate episode of The Apprentice on BBC1, The interview process... and something struck me; When Jason was handed a Rubiks cube to complete in under 3 minutes my initial thought was 'A Rubiks cube must be a dyspraxics worst nightmare!'
Just the whole concept of the thing baffled me merely by looking at this 'toy'

It's supposed to be fun to complete, it's a mental/logic challenge that I just don't understand how anyone could enjoy, never have and never will. Still, hardly a big deal, how often is it in we get asked to do a Rubiks cube in day to day life?? :/ Lol!
Just something that got me thinking, and worthy of a new topic of discussion, I thought...
Can any of you complete a Rubiks cube? If so, how long/how many attempts does it take you? Or, like me, does it confuse you just by looking at it?? Lol!

I hated rubic cubes. When they were at the height of their popularity back in the 1980s (I'm 59 so can remember that far back

) there could be three or four people sometimes on a bus, just constantly twisting the goddamn colours round and round and round in their pointless exercise. It was such an annoying habit, I always felt like I was sharing a bus with scratching apes!

Never been able to do it. I like puzzles, but they have to be easy ones!

I ended up cheating when doing it, it was such a mental challenge even when I was the one that mixed up all the colours!! so all the colours were pealling off, so I helped them a little more!!

I never mastered the rubiks cube. I got one and for days on end I would be twisting it in every direction I thought I could. But the colours were always a jumbled up mixture. In the end I got so annoyed with it that I cheated and pulled the colours off and stuck them in the right places.

Haven't really had the chance to try. My brother did have one which I might've tried and not got very far with. Though I wouldn't be able to solve it in a fast time - if at all! - I can see why it is appealing to do.
A game which also requires logic of sorts is the slider puzzles - horrible, horrible!

I used a couple of creative ways of solving the rubicks cube one involved a screw driver and putting the colours back in the right place the other painstakingly removing stickers although given my co-ordination skills at the time I don't know how I managed either!
