Symptom or Phobia?

Post by Peculiar »

Ok, so this is kind of embarrassing for me to ask, but does anyone have a thing they hate more than anything? Mine is saliva (and anything that comes out of the human body, i.e. blood, sweat, tears, oil, etc.) It's not that I'm afraid of it, it just grosses me out. I really can't explain it. Do you think that could be a part of Dyspraxia or is it just a byproduct of anxiety? Dyspraxia has played a huge part in creating anxiety and depression, but I don't know where it comes from. I don't understand it at all.

I guess what I'm asking, is if anyone else has something like that, that they just hate or is just really grossed out by and don't understand why.

Hmm.. I wouldn't pin this down to a Dyspraxia thing. If anything it could be a little OCD.

But people in general will have things which "gross them out".

I think I did read somewhere that Dyspraxics are more susceptible to phobic responses but again there are no hard and fast rules so you cant really say its definitely Dyspraxia or not.

Well I do not think that this is a dysparaxic. Because where as I have seen there are number of persons that feel gross from the thing that may b more favorite to others. So I will not connect this to the dyspraxia.
