Video games

Post by OhJude. »

I just wondered if anyone on here enjoys video games but finds them a bit of a nightmare? (Spatial awareness and hand-eye co-ordiantion being fairly essential).

I tried to play Portal2 with my husband yesterday. It's a fantastic game but there was not a chance of my figuring it out. After 20 minutes I was exhausted! I've played some rpgs that I find easier but still struggle. #-o

i love what are called "adventure games" where you seek and find and solve puzzles. It also helps with my memory skills. But the whole left/right thing is still a bit dubious. My sister used to help me and say "top right...no your other right..."

DEpending on your eye conditions and how bad your eye tracking movement is will be pretty much how you will be effected .A game were you have to move fast especially a shooter fast action game will stress you out more quickly because you will use your eye movement more for tracking .but a walkthrough type of game you will be able to tolerate it for longer because you are not rushed and wont be as stressed out.I am very much like you but my sons tolerence is much better than mine .we both have dyspraxia

This.

A keyboard and mouse is like an extension of my hands to me but control pads are more tricky. The control pad on the original xbox was the most horrible gaming experience ever, with buttons everywhere and a need for quite precise movements. I liked control pads in the old days on consoles like the MegaDrive where you three buttons.

In terms of games I love first person shooters but only on PCs for the reasons stated above. I used to play Football Manager a lot but I'm crap at recent additions and it brings out a bad side in me so I don't allow myself to play it.

I've found PC games easier too, got quite involved in 'Oblivion' and am looking forward to the new one. The wii is the worst I've found because you have to do something different with each hand...

I love portal (only played the first one) but I have to take lots and lots of breaks because it makes me feel sick, and really tired! I can never work out why, as this only happens in certain video games.
I get very stressed out playing them, I do like playing them though. :)

I love gaming :) I play all my games on easier or easiest difficulties though as otherwise no chance, I get very easily stuck or confused on like RPG's and stuff as well! it's annoying but idk what I can do about it tbh!
