Hi Folks

The RCN (Royal Colleage of Nursing) has written a toolkit for managers/ practitioners and mentors. Yes this toolkit is aimed at supporting nurses with any of the three D's (Dyslexia/ Dyspraxia and Dyscaluia) but it has self help tips and tips for managers as to what they can do for you.

I believe this can be adapted to any occupation (Job role) within reason but may require some modification. It probably doesn't solve every issue but it is a start point to work from. The toolkit has been produced by Nurse Consultant Michelle Cowan, who specialises in the Three D's and is a lead lecturer in these subjects and Professor Dame Betty Kershaw who also specialises in this area.

There are one one toolkit for managers and one toolkit for mentors.

Would like some feedback on this. You can google this by putting in RCN Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscaluia

Cheers

Hello. This is interesting. I just found these same 2 RCN docs tonight and have yet to do more than scan them, but i am a dental nurse, have tried but struggled and eventually been dismissed from dental hygiene courses - wondering if these docs may hold some answers for me.
