Long time Dyspraxic - Newbie to the Forums

Post by DyspraxicButProud »

Hi there, fellow dyspraxics! I'm Jenny and I've been a diagnosed dyspraxic since the tender age of 5. It really wasn't a huge deal, but as I've become "more of an adult" and gained responsibilities, I've started to see how motor skills have effected the way I work. Sometimes, ironically enough, for the better -- but 95% of the time for the worst.

I find myself stumbling on words, blanking out in terms of my thoughts, and I'm pretty darn clumsy. The only thing I can manage to do really well is write. . .a talent which I still don't understand came to be. I'm not even that great of a writer, but it appears that I communicate better through written word than speech.

Anyway, you all seem really cool. I can't wait to see all that's going on. Take care, folks!
