Some of them are hidden , how's your short term memory ? Organisational skills ? I'm still clumsy but i can write with a pen ? Are you double jointed ? YOu may have good copining mechanism , and skills that feel natural to you are easier to perform . You may have it to a mild/moderate degree . At the moment most reseach show's there isnt a differentiate aspect , but the most likley physical trait is being double jointed (again in research at the moment but looking promising )

does that mean that if I go to my silly gp and I show him how I can bend my knees, elbows, hands and fingers backwards he will finally give me the f****** referral?! Wish it were true!

Lol you say that ... but it might , it is a working theory at the moment so i don;t know if its peer reviewed or even a paper (teh info was given to me by an OT from my local hospital ) . They are using it as physical marker ? And about 90% of cases they come across peopel have both ?

No, not double jointed

but poor working memory/executive skills and organization that shows up very noticably in every aspect of my life. My processing speed, while in the Average range (but lower end), is 46 points lower than my verbal IQ.

Is it possible to not have trouble with gross motor skills,
I have awful hand eye coordination
I have pretty bad fine motor( and it's only pretty bad not really bad because Ive worked on my handwriting... i'm probably the textbook person for learning coping skills)
but once I learn the movements, I can learn a dance
I'm pretty good with a canoe or a kayak
I was a natural at rock climbing
my feet eye coordination isn't atrocious

I really want to know the answer to that as well. I got unofficially stated by this teacher at my college that I had Dyspraxia, had no idea what it was so when I looked it up I could identify with what was being said. yes I am
*very disorganised
*been told I am easily distracted
*have horrible short term memory
*horrible with shoes laces and putting them on the right way around
*gets lost easily
*hand hurts when writing for like 5 minutes
*sometimes bumps into things and been quite clumsy (one time I think someone thought i was drunk after stumbling only drinking a few sips of alcohol
but i am actually quite good at P.E apart from the gymnastics side. I am a fast runner and was on the basketball team, and when i told someone else that who who about these things she said "well in that case you have A.D.H.D"
so quite confused. without taking it futher just wondering what you think?
