hi guys
i was re-directed over to this forum from dyspraxic teens, i have had a few responces from them but i need a few more.
i am doing a research project for my health and social care college course, i have a hypothesis that teens who were diagnosed in when they were children tend to cope better than teens diagnosed in there teen years, so far i have about nine responses unfortunatly i need 30 responses to make it a valid sample, if you are interested in helping me then could you reply to the thread and i will pm you the questionaire.
thanks all

hey guys
im only doing a survey about teens unfortunatly but this is because i was only diagnosed a few months ago ( im nearly 18 now) this research project is really for my own purpose as i wanted to find out how people coped after they were diagnosed and weather people coped better if they were diagnosed as a child than people who were diagnosed as a teen (if that maked any sense????) if i need to ( which is very possible)

i will open it out to all of you guys becuase i dont need names or ages as it is a numbers thing really so you dont have to worry about having your name on something.
cheers

I was told that I had dyspraxia at the age of 23, after attending speech therapy.
I passed my driving test at the age of 31. No diagnosis, no support, except DANDA. Mary Colley was fantastic.
I will do the questionnaire.
I was told that I have aspergers traits at the age of 25 (diagnosed in a non - standard way). The problem is that the support is designed for more severe people on the spectrum, less able and people with fewer qualifications.
I undertake Maths tution, I have worked in a call centre.

And that why we have these forums (an dteh Adult advice line on the Dyspraxic Website). Offically we may not rate at a certain level so we need greater awareness and help even among our own peer group . It's great people can do things on their own , but if you have found a great method pass it on

. Even socializing, the happiness it brings to speak to other Dyspraxic, Lexia , Clac etc . As you relate to others , also more diagnosise will help to discover what levels , variants there are so if you get the chance for a full diagnosise do so for all of us .
