Hi, I have been drawing since I was small, drawing was always more pleasurable than words or numbers, now I am immersing myself in Art, charcoal drawings, acrylic painting and hand built ceramics. I find when I am working on something arty my head stops all its crap and I get a lovely rest from it. On a light note I usually have no idea what I'm doing but I am loving it.

I entered some of my work in two art exhibitions and won two first prizes with my charcoal drawings and one for my pottery. sort of made up for the attack of nerves putting it out there. I guess its never too late to try. I am 59 years old now so I guess I am getting braver.

Im a photographer with a degree in Visual Arts from BIAD. I have a website (philipappleyard.com *is it ok to post a link?*). I love art but find I only really naturally suite photography. I have a propensity to overthink other forms of art and my physically applying myself to them.
