Dyspraxic Adults

It is nice to know that someone very successful like Daniel can cope with the disorder and still be successful. I don't think I'm "pleased" to hear it. Obviously, it is probably a hard thing for him to have just as it is for us, but it gives me a little hope and helps me drive toward my own goals.

I'm not pleased to hear of his condition, but I admire his bravery to speak up and admit this. After all, if an ordinary person like you or I said we had trouble tying our shoes our zipping a zipper, we'd be laughed at, but he can help bring more positive awareness to the condition. As someone else said, having dyspraxia is not fun. Who enjoys bumping into things a lot and struggling to execute a simple recipe? But hearing that a successful person has the disease can give hope to people who have the condition.

Doesnt surprise me at all. Acting is all about memorising words and movements.

From personal experience, once I can get the movement into the long term memory, I can perform even fairly complicated things, including dance steps, as long as I dont actively think about them. Of course, until you get them into the long term memory it involves looking and feeling like a total clutz with 2 left feet that both think they are right feet but that's part of the fun isnt it?
