yeah I have noticed that with my friends wife, is she is forever tapping my arm!! is it something they are taught?

ok, so I have noticed recently about 75% of the time that she is talking, then even though her talking is nearly brilliant, I still need to look at here to see what she is saying, as in lip reading.

I think my hearing is getting worse, as it used to be a lot less lip reading with her. ok so she got to use her hands with driving, but either her speach is going bad, my hearing is going bad, or maybe a bit of both.

main reason why I think it is my hearing, is I used to have really sensitive hearing, that I could hear exactly what someone whispers behind my back, now I mainly can't hear them properly between rooms.

and usually my father sends me for something, and it is like a mumble when I get to the next room. or is it my senses are being used more now on what I am doing?

like if I am driving, then I don't hear music, unless it is on louder, so I can quite easily drive 100 miles without music on. ok so I am a mechanic, and I am mainly listening to what the engine is telling me, so never really had music on loud enough to drown out the sound of the engine any-way.

the only time I really turned up the radio to full blast, was taking a hired van down the motorway, and even then you couldn't even hear the music, as the engine was so loud.

but I am sure it is my hearing has got worse over the last couple of years.

yeah, it's something that deaf people are taught to do. that, or flicking lights on and off to get the attention of a whole room!

i don't really know what to suggest about your hearing, apart from to go and see a doctor if it's bothering. i have pretty good hearing but very bad listening skills!

I love physical contact wether friendly or sexual i love the closeness for example there is a girl that isnt my girlfriend but we are still realy touchy feely and hug and watch films cuddled next to each other. I like touchy feely people more because it feels like they like you more then if they are sitting away from you and it feels easier to talk to them and talk about personal things. AS for sexual things i love being touched and my best times are the passionate loving times.

I can't stand touching certain people. It seems to hold no bearing whether or not I like that person though. I'm fine with my mum and dad, but not my sister or brother. My girlfriend is fine and so is this girl in my class, but none of my other friends.

I tend to be very touchy with those people that I don't mind being touched by.

I am another member of the touchy feely crowd. I don't mind being touched if I know the person very well, but with strangers it's a little iffy. OP, I'm sure you can find someone else who's not very touchy to be in a relationship with. If not, just explain that you are not a very physical person (you don't have to mention "the d", as I call it, until you feel comfortable doing so) and that you want to take it slow. Maybe you should say that you want to be the one to initiate each new stage of physical contact.

Depends. Some certain areas it just feels very, very uncomfortable, which I think can be hurtful or confusing to the other person if you are constantly adjusting their arms or hands.

I hate being touched as a rule but sometimes its ok like when I go for a massage. It's a much heavier touch and after words my muscles feel loosed out even if they can sometimes be sore.

I love hugs and holding hands. I have a habit of touching people on their upper arm. my friend can't stand it. i try not to touch him so that he tolerates me when I ask for a hug. I hate being tickled though...

I love being cwtched :D but only by my boyfriend.
I'm okay with hugs from people I know really well, otherwise I find it weird.
