Dyspraxic Adults

I make short stop motion animations as a hobby. I also like to draw, make plushies, write stories and songs. Oh and I can play happy birthday and the sesame street theme tune on my Harmonica. I'm currently unemployed and seeking work.

Yes I am creative and that is one reason why I am having trouble with my new job, I don't want to use off the shelf assessments, I want to assess as they need assessing which is different every time , I love sewing (using a machine and nothing too fiddly), can create a poem to a reasonable standard from a few ideas that need expressing and love to find solutions to difficult problems all very creative but under valued!

I see my self as creative I enjoy seeing knitting and writing poetry, I have lots of off the wall ideas though some people think I am a bit crazy.

I'm definitley creative- I draw, paint, write, design websites and am currently working on an indie game, and also have a very vivid imagination, such that I invent characters and stories in my head whenever I have nothing else to do. That's really just a part of my personality, and has been for literally as long as I can remember. I can't seem to help it, to be quite honest. I am also quite a creative thinker, though the word just as often used is 'unconventional', which is perhaps part of why I didn't do so well the first time I went to college. I have very little patience for routine, convention, rules or the way things are 'meant' to be done.

I'm 22 and work at a fashion magazine. I've always been creative - throughout school was interested in art, textiles and languages. I find most non creative tasks hard and stressful!

I like Art but I'm not a natural, faces and using pastel pencils are my favourites but would love to have lessons in painting. I've bought a sewing machine and attended a course but that's gone quiet now. I've taken up crocheting and have done two blankets, one for my cousin and one for myself, I would love to learn different crafts but haven't got round to doing anything yet.

i do not do very much myself as i am sadly not good in any of the things that interest me in life like drawing and art art i would love to be musical but that sure is not going to happen so onto finding out what creative thing if any i am actually good at i like to do graphic design web design .

Well I'd certainly say I was creative. I currently write a comedy article for a local newspaper which I started doing after they seen me doing stand up comedy which I haven't done as very much recently due to my day job. I've also done Professional Wrestling on and off for the last 10 years under the name Jayson mayson Pop Sensation which I've always been pretty proud of considering my dyspraxia.

At school I was continually praised for my poetry, by teachers and peers, and even won a prize in primary school. At Uni (in my 40s!) I ambitiously decided to do Media Arts, despite no experience - I was thrilled when my first short film was awarded a high 2:1 - I'd never even held a camcorder before!

Although I'm not always good at organising myself, strangely if I go into something that's already got a system set up, I like working within the system and can be quite organised.

- is something I find too. Being scatter-brained and untidy can be tiring, perhaps working within a clear structure gives our over-worked minds a rest? In a similar way, it's frustrating because I struggle daily to keep things tidy, yet much prefer living and working in a tidy environment.

Totally creative! Which is just as well because I'm so horrifically disorganised there's no way I could do a non-creative job! I work in TV Development basically brainstorming, Googling, creative writing and Photoshopping (the pitching is a bit scary). I'm also a published poet and I make textile sculptures (basically wacky soft toys). It's the best upside to Dyspraxia!

I'm definitely artistic/creative. I'm studying Fine Art at Goldsmiths at the moment. I've always drawn and painted, and it's very much part of my identity. I know that my mind is very all over the place and free, which helps me convey my paintings in the way that I want to, but when it comes down to making canvasses, measuring and displaying work on the wall properly, that's when my dyspraxia comes in! My friends can make canvasses really easily and quickly but it literally takes me hours to get the hang of it!
