...when you send off a job application saying 'a highly organised individual...attention to detail... only to find when you read it later that you have made some ridiculous error!
..when you walk into a canteen at work and don't feel able to sit on a table with other people..
..when you forget to take your finger out of the car door before shutting it...ouch yes it was crushed and almost severed!
..when you can't remember telling people things you already told them yesterday! Not just once though

You know you're dyspraxic when:
You can fall flat on your face without actually tripping on anything
You stare into space in the middle of sentences
You make connections in your head which seem perfectly logical until you make a comment in conversation and no-one gets what your talking about
Alcohol affects your body WAY before your mind (this one is scary)
People think you've been drinking when you're completely sober
You avoided driving lessons for "public safety reasons"
You've had to try and explain to friends and partners that the fact you don't want to phopne them is nothing personal
You really have to insist they leave the light on

on the subject of bruises.
When i was a child I was suspected of having leukaemia I was so black and blue.
Even today I'll suddenly find I've got bruises on my arms and I've no idea where they've come from. (Doorframes is my bet.

I'll negotiate them successfully one of these days!)

you drop your washing powder all over the floor as you trip when going to the washing machine with it, and when you get the Dyson up to vacuum it up, you manage to trip over the wire for that!

You accidentally manage to register for the forum as a young child and have to get everything modified to fully adult status, thank you lindsay for fixing my mess.
Misplace your purse three times in one week, and one of the times it was litterally sitting right next to me.
Fall up a staircase
Jump down stairs because when you walk is when you fall and burst into giggles when people tell you to slow down and be more careful.
Have to redo your intro post 5 times because you got distracted, acciddentntally closed it, or forgot to sdave it when the sytem ahs already timed you out more then once ona post.
You end up losing everything or injuring yourself everytime you clean house.
You carry a giant key chain to lose it less often...it hangs on a cord over your shoulder and you go looking for it...while wearing it.
Your worst nightmare is being asked to jump rope in public
You perma-tie your shoe laces
Your watch is digital, water proof, has an alarm, backlight, and date function and NEVER leaves your wrist, even to shower...that is why you still own it and the only reason you ever know the date of time.
You are to nervous to eat lunch or relax on your break at work because you are so afraid of coming back late.

You know you're dyspraxic when...
-You lose track of time and end up brushing your teeth for ten minutes.
-You cook a meal and everyone complains that it's over seasoned.
-You smash your hand trying to click your safety belt.
-You forget what year it is... in September. (Thought it was 06 when it was 04)
-You panic because you're afraid you'll run into someone who's quite a ways away. (Always dodge people in the halls)
-You freeze in the winter because you won't wear Jackets with your Long Sleeves.
-You carry two shopping lists: One of what you need, the other of what you forgot last time.

OK I am new to these forums but...
You know your Dyspraxic when, your colleagues start keeping a tally of how many times you nearly kill yourself/them
You know your Dyspraxic when, you go to the shop with a complete idea of what you want and come back with everything other than what you needed most
You know your dyspraxic when, your shoe laces end up being so tightly drawn together they are three times the length of your shoe... from trying to do them up....

You know your Dyspraxoc when...
Pulling a 4mtr piece of lightbeam from behind a piece of racking you miss the racking as planned but inadvertantly hit the flourescent light tube forcing it to land less than 4 four from your colleague...
Whilst driving the forklift (counterbalance) you forgot your mug was on the side and turned it causing said mug to fall off and shatter
You put a mug on the work bench reach for a screwdriver and knock it off

you know your partner's dyspraxic when...
You have to make a doctor's appointment three days after you have a mobile phone charger dropped on your head from the top of the stairs as you still have a headache and dizziness, which doesn't help your own dyspraxic state (it was definitely an accident, bless her, she's so worried!)! Wish me luck!

You always have cuts on your legs from shaving! I collect those the way most people collect stamps or bottlecaps!

Oh gosh yes. My ankles are the worst, if I nick the side of my ankle it can bleed for AGES.
I haven't shaved my legs for over a year now. Don't see the point unless I'm going to have bare legs!
Also, you know you're dyspraxic when you find it completely impossible to apply eyeliner and even mascara is hazardous to attempt! In terms of cosmetics, I use clear mascara, which is just supposed to bulk out the lashes a little bit, and if I put anything on my nails that's clear too. It's just not possible to get it right if I try to use coloured stuff for those things, and I only make a mess. Eyeshadow and powder are fine and easy for me to do, as is lip gloss.
[Side note: I just clicked 'Save' thinking it said 'Submit' - easy mistake, they both begin with S! I'd just like to express huge huge love to whoever thought it would be a good idea to have saved drafts... SO very useful to me and probably a lot of you as well.]

... when you get confused by the bank holiday and show up at work at 5.30 when the office closed at 4.00.
It would be funny but I have done it three times already this year and at least once every year for the last 5 years I have been with the company! They now no longer schedule me in and just hope I make it in as a bonus.
Also when you loose your phone, panic as it is light outside and run to work , only to realise it is only 4.30 and end up having breakfast with the security guard.
And when you tell people your date of birth back to front as you get it confused with your sisters ( 9/10 - 10/9)
