New and grateful to have found you all!

Post by MissChicken »

Hi

I am pleased to have found this forum. I have just realised I am dyspraxic, my daughter was diagnosed at University.
Knowing has made sense of my life. At 53 I have developed my own coping strategies for working, but know that I am a bit obsessive in working procedures. In my social and relationship life, I have not really been able to get to grips with. I am not very good with touch and this is really hard for any partners I have had. My friends say I am different, and thats why they like me!

I never felt I fitted in anywhere as I grew up, and still don't to a certain extent. I feel like I am trapped inside myself.

I guess I have been reasonably successful in my career although I am out of work at the moment. I managed to qualify as a counsellor.

I am looking forward to reading the forum and getting to know people here.

Hi I'm pussinboots and a bit older too. Welcome to the forum. It's great to know our difficulties are shared by others. I always feel so different to others as well. Everyone where I work (and I've had lots of jobs) always seem very confident and I'm still 12 in my head and not nearly as pushy as people seem to be these days. Hope you like the forum.

Take care
