I get like that alot. I physically cant go clothes shopping as it makes me feel so claustrophobic and out of place. I get so uncomfortable that I do not go shopping for clothes at all any more.

I detest shopping, especially for clothes.

I had to go today, I found it really stressful and upsetting.

Oh I hate it too, always have done! It only gets worse between now and the end of January as well, because of Xmas and the sales, and as Cardiff is my nearest outlet for anything decent, I have to brave it. Very often, the only way I can stand the shops is to have my headphones in and my music playing loudly, but then that often leads to unfortunate collisions between Helen and unsuspecting shoppers as I can't hear what's going non around me. Otherwise, I have to be at shops for opening time, and know exactly what I'm getting, go in, get it and get out as soon as possible!

i love clothes shopping, i'm a typical girl!

however, i HATE it on saturdays because it gets so busy and that makes me a bit panicy and it means that i have to apologise more than normal for walking into innocent people.

any other day though, there's no stopping me from hitting the shops! ;)

I've always loved shopping too and haven't had a problem until yesterday. Panicy was a good way to describe it, just the sheer number of people and getting changed in small spaces and the pressure of having to find clothes. I dunno, suddenly I was just really anxious to not continue shopping.

It was an odd sensation - and I came away without the shirt and tie and gone to town to look for, nor the sticky labels I keep meaning to buy from WHSmith's but in all my confusion I simply forgot!

I took the clothes back which I purchased yesterday #-o Decided they made me look too old.

All I want is formal evening wear which makes me look sexy. Why on earth don't they do this in larger sizes?

Because the industry has a somewhat mistaken belief that everyone on earth is between a size 0 and a size 10!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried stores like Evans and Monsoon?

I have had female friends who had to buy larger sizes and found those stores carried things perfect for them. (and not just larger but cut differently, so I'm told)

Just been and purchased some clothes from Evans. Not sure they are appropriate for the evening meal though. I tried on a dress and I just didnt feel comfortable in myself at all - just made me feel fat.

Will show the other half later see what he thinks.

Let us know what he says. Personally I find Evans' try to prevent a person from having a SHAPE at all! Maybe Im just hard to please that way.... or maybe could I just be right?
