Online dating

Post by Tom fod »

I've always found dating including the online preamble especially challenging, even anxiety inducing.

I definitely see traits of Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoriia which is something that's talked about in the ADHD community though doesn't have formal recognition.

Been using [Non authorised URL link removed by Admin] to break the ice when I need a quick chat break; it’s a solid way to meet folks who are just as curious as you. I’ve had some chill convos that turned into useful tips, and the vibe stays low‑key. It’s a handy tool when you want a fresh perspective without the hassle.

I can definitely relate to that. Dating can already involve a lot of uncertainty, and when you're particularly sensitive to perceived rejection, even a delayed reply or a change in someone's tone can feel much more significant than it was intended to be. [Non-permitted url link removed by Admin] , I think being aware of that sensitivity can make a real difference, because it helps you pause and separate what actually happened from what anxiety might be suggesting. Even though RSD isn't formally recognized as a diagnosis, the experience people describe is still worth acknowledging and understanding.
