Rather odd issue with intimacy

Post by goatmeal »

Hi there folks! I’m a 22-year-old male who was diagnosed with dyspraxia at a young age, and I just had my first intimate encounter. However, I discovered something rather... odd during the act: I couldn’t feel any of it with my member. Like, I couldn’t even tell if I was penetrating or not and my fiancé had to tell me when I slipped out of the hole a couple times. Despite my clumsiness, in the end she said she really enjoyed it, but I ended up walking away feeling like I hadn’t even just had sex because I didn’t feel any of it.

I’ve never seemed to have this problem with self-pleasure before, but I’ve noticed a lack of sensation down there when I have kidney stones (the only pain I ever feel is the stones’ trip from the kidney to the bladder, never any pain on the way out).

Anyone here have any similar problems with a lack of sensation in the nether regions, or have any suggestions on how to make things more enjoyable for the both of us?

If you"ve been used to solo manual stimulation it may take take a while to get used to intercourse. Keep at it with your partner and you will be fine.

The first time is often a bit 'is that it' for many. Learn about that you both enjoy together.

I think a dyspraxic can find sex ovewrhelming, - the emotions, movement, position, penetration, sensory processing.

Does anyone agree with me ?

Yes, Whilst biologically it should come naturally there's a a lot of emotion, verbal and non verbal communication and if people are sensitive to textures that might also need to be overcome. I wish I could understand and get my head around the whole business of attraction, dating and relationships and womankind in todays age and that's before I get anywhere near having any more of 'that sort of thing' by which time I'll probably be much too old and have forgotten what it is.

I find it overwhelming, there’s so much going on and sometimes in a split second i’ll Start thinking about dinner or the shopping by which point for me I’ve completely lost interest in what I was doing. I put it down to short concentration spand and that I can lose interest in things quickly

Hello. I’m new to this but hoping these discussions can help. I was diagnosed I think at age 7 and I’m now 32. I’m gay and reading this, I recognised that I probably struggle with sensation down there too to the point where it does affect my confidence with guys. I have never really had a good experience of oral sex unless I’ve been the one giving it, also as much as I want to be able to be a top and be the giver, it has yet to happen. I never even considered this might be related to dyspraxia.

I notice on this post there are responses that vary in terms of how much people actually like intimacy, I do like it but each to their own. Everyone is different. I just wanted to say that you’re not alone.

I’m wondering if things have gotten any better for you?

I can say I’m a lot more in touch with things now than I used to be. But still lacking in the areas mentioned above.
